Amani Abraham is an Emmy-award winning storyteller and communication specialist. She has more than 15 years experience as a dedicated communicator, multimedia specialist and journalist. Amani is has worked in the media industry as a leader in sharing critical information and developing various written and visual elements to serve organizations and the public.
She is the former multimedia reporter for WKYC-TV in Cleveland, Ohio. She was also the former morning news anchor for 94.9 WQMX and 1590 WAKR. She began her career at Rubber City Radio in 2011 immediately following graduation. Amani, born and raised in Northeast Ohio, graduated from the University of Akron with a dual degree in news and radio/television broadcasting in 2011. In 2020, she received her master's degree in journalism education from Kent State University. Amani fell in love with radio and television broadcasting while working as an on-air personality, editor and television host at WZIP-FM and Z-TV.
Amani has received several Emmy nominations and was awarded three Emmys for her role in breaking news and special content. She was also recognized for her work in journalism, receiving a first place award for Best Reporter by the Ohio Associated Press Media Editors Association and by the Society of Professional Journalism.
